Orphan Island is a book about kids who have always been riveted to the same schedule. The green boat comes with a new kid, the current elder leaves with the green boat, the new learns how to survive and thrive on the island.
But Jinny is struggling to adapt to her new role as elder and to take care of ‘Es’ who isn’t being the most cooperative.
I loved this book because it reminds us that everyone feels like they can’t figure life out at some time or another. This book is beautiful and tells an amazing story.
